CATALOG OF BAND ACCOMPANIMENTS
for vocal songs and arias, instrumental solos,
and other fine band arrangements
from the Great American Classic Concert Band era

About us

BOVACO was founded by Dr. Leonard B. Smith (1915-2002) in response to a great demand for band accompaniments of vocal and instrumental solos as performed by the Detroit Concert Band. Acquired from some of the greatest private band libraries, these discriminating works are available on an on-demand basis.

Many of the accompaniments were prepared for the Goldman Band by Wilhelm Strasser and Anton Weiss. Emil Mollenhauer arrangements were made exclusively for the Boston Band. Arrangements for the Detroit Concert Band were made by Leonard B. Smith, Edgar L. Barrow, Paul Van Loan, and Andrew Glover.

In addition to these exclusive accompaniments, many previously out of print works for concert band have been included in the BOVACO catalog. Included are over 1,000 overtures, suites, selections, marches, waltzes, and other works, from the personal band library of Dr. Smith, representing some of the finest literature of the classic concert band era. Many of these works are extremely rare, very difficult to locate, and available to the public only from BOVACO.
